Our History

With a unique equestrian heritage and a nod to California's famed Spanish missions, Bridlewood is helping to shape the future of this emerging winegrowing region.

While Bridlewood is now working to solidify the Central Coast as one of California's preeminent winemaking regions, our estate was once home to an Arabian horse farm and an equestrian rehabilitation center. The design of the winery pays homage to California's historic missions, with a Spanish-style bell tower, breezy verandas and a fountain surrounded by a stone courtyard.

These days, it's all about the wine. Beginning with our first vintage, Bridlewood has earned critical acclaim for intense, complex wines.
