The Central Coast of California extends from San Francisco to Santa Barbara - a winemaker's dream of ocean breezes, hillside vineyards, and, of course, abundant sunshine.

For years, winemaking pioneers exploring California versions of Rhone varietal wines have been quietly crafting exquisite wines in out-of-the-way corners of the Central Coast. One such place is the Santa Ynez Valley, home of Bridlewood. Syrah has been the flagship of the movement, with Viognier and Rhone-style blends gaining in popularity.

The Central Coast has it all to be Syrah's home away from Rhone. The cooling influence of ocean breezes let the grapes ripen long on the vine. The different soil types that vary from valley to valley bring distinctive flavors into every blend. And the local culture of artisan winemaking brings it all together in the bottle.
